Über Bob & Jessy
We Moved from Atlanta to La Fortuna Costa Rica because It's beautiful. We took all of our savings & decided to open a small B&B. We've never been in the hospitality industry before & we're learning as we go. Oh!, You're probably wondering who we are. "We" are Jessy & Bob. We own & operate La Fortuna Suites. We've been a couple for almost 8 years & we wanted a new adventure. Bob worked as a personal assistant for over 25 years, & I (Jessy) worked as a Graphic designer & at several restaurants in ATL. Since we both have years of experience in the service industry, we decided to finally work for ourselves. So, here we are. Running a 4 apt. B&B & learning everything step by step. We're locatedin the town of La Fortuna. There are tons of things to do near by: white water rafting, zip-lining, horseback riding, etc. In fact The Arenal/ La Fortuna area is known as the "adventure capital of the world"! There are lots of great hostels and budget conscious places to stay in La Fortuna, but most of the nicer places are far away from town. You're stuck out there once you're at your hotel. La Fortuna Suites is for the traveler that wants to have access to the city, & wants to come back to a space that reminds them of home. After a day of adventure, relax & watch a movie on Netflix on a 40" screen. you can even make a snack in your own private kitchenette. Or, get something delivered from one of the many restaurants near by. Enjoy the afternoon, taking in views of the Arenal Volcano, & having a drink on our spacious deck. At the end of the day, you'll sleep better than anyone in Costa Rica on a Memory foam mattress imported from the U.S., & 400 thread count Egyptian cotton linens. We also serve a complimentary breakfast each morning & can book any tours you have interest in. A little abut the building: It was an apartment building with a bad reputation in a nice part of town. We bought it & put in 8 months & a lot of dollars in renovations. It's worlds away from what it looked like we first saw it! Check out the progression on www.facebook.com/lafortunasuites
