Über Diana

Diana and Jeff moved to Hawke's Bay with their son Tom who is 16 in January 2009. They decided to make the move to sunny Hawkes Bay whilst their son Tom was still prepared to move with them! It was a big step as they were emigrating from Yorkshire, England. Jeff is an engineer and Diana has always worked in travel and tourism. They both enjoy sport, tennis and walking. They all love living in Hawke's Bay and really feel it is like living in paradise! Tom has settled in really well and now plans to go on to study architecture in Auckland or Wellington. They will be happy to help you get the most of your stay whatever your interests - wineries, flyfishing, golf, local walks and great places to eat. Havelock House was built about 25 years ago by a Kiwi/Canadian couple. At the time it was the talk of the neighbourhood – the first $1 million dollar house to be built in Havelock North!; the traditional style of the house takes its character from older Bay properties – high ceilings, cornicing, cream paintwork, wide verandas. There are even some Art Deco features incorporated in the decor – if you can’t see them we would be pleased to point them out to you. . Since both Jeff and Diana enjoy meeting people they decided to continue offering B&B from thier home here in Hawke's Bay. When they first saw the house on the internet with its fabulous gardens and pool they decided it would be perfect for what we wanted a unique B&B and family house Their home is in a quiet semi rural location set in 4 acres just a 5 minute drive from Havelock North village with its award winning restaurants - Pipi, Diva and Deliciosa, world famous wineries Te Mata, Black Barn and Craggy Range. Close to top golf courses Cape Kidnappers and Napier 20 minute drive.
