Nice 45 sq meters apartment with two rooms in the heart of the most thrilling parts of East-Berlin. Many of the important touristic sights can be reached within walking distance.
This cosy and centrally located apartment offers you all the standards of a freshly refurbished and lovely designed modern place.
The apartment is getting natural light from both sides and the living room is offering you direct view of the Zionskirchstraße, which is a very calm street with nice trees along the sidewalk, a relaxed Cafe at the corner, and my everyday German bakery just across the street.
The bedroom is facing the backyard, which is quite green and quiet.
- 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed (140x200cm)
- 1 big living room, with an old long table for dining, sofa, projector and Hifi-station for home cinema (HDMI-plug)
- kitchen with all standard equipment plus dish-washer and washing-mashine, small breakfast and coffee area and access to balcony.
- Wifi, fast internet-access
- bathroom with over-head shower
- small corridor with wardrobe
The apartment is on the higher ground floor, so no need to carry up heavy bags very far.
You will be living in my apartment on your own. The whole place is yours. I might be somewhere around in Berlin, but not necessarily. In the apartment you will find a little booklet that I have prepared for you with my Berlin favorites. A good friend of mine is offering guided tours through the city for little money. She will organize it according to your interests...like history, architecture/design, street-art, dining and shopping tours. Just tell me what you are intersted in seeing and ask me for further information:) it's of course an extra individual experience. She speaks English, German, and Greek.
The laid back atmosphere of Zionskirchstraße gives you many options to spend a relaxed morning before you're heading off to the buzzing Berlin's city life, which can be literally reached within ten minutes walking distance. Just opposite my house you will find an authentic German bakery with delicious bread and cakes!
Leaving the house walking one minute to the right you will find Kastanienallee and Zionskirchplatz. The area is full with restaurants, bars, cafes, galleries, art soaces and different kind of shops. The Zionskirche is one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Berlin. It also connects you to Bernauer Straße, where Mauerpark is located, one of the biggest fleamarkets of Berlin.
Tram 1, M12: stop is ZIONSKIRCHPLATZ, 1 minute walking to the apartment, two stops away from Hackescher Markt, and two stops away from Eberswalder Strasse, which is the center of Prenzlauer Berg. It also connects you to Schönhauser Allee, where you might be arriving coming from Schönefeld Airport.
If you are using the metro: the (U Bahn) metro line 8, station Rosenthaler Platz and the (U Bahn)metro Line 2, station Senefelder Platz are 5 minutes away from the apartment, taking you directly to Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz, Kurfürstendamm, Schöneberg, Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg.
BIKE RENTAL is five minutes away walking. Best way to discover Berlin I think.
Gay-friendly place. No TV, sorry. There's enough things to do in Berlin I'm sure, even if it's raining. Take your laptop, and you can watch movies over the projector (HDMI-plug only).
I'm happy to share my home with you. Welcome to Berlin!
