This apartment is very quite and a nice place to stay in a great location. The apartment is located very close to Croisette and Palais. The two rooms are small and basic but with modern furniture. The only thing I missed was WiFi. But I can highly recommend this place.Kathrin reviewed T2 30m2 PALAIS DES FESTIVALS à 300m in Cannes
Think Cannes and you will no doubt think of the famous film festival but there is so much more to the town than that. There is also a great local culture based around the old quarter of Le Suquet, with its cobbled streets, pavement cafes and wonderful views. To join the fun, a holiday apartment in Cannes is just perfect. In fact, staying at your holiday apartment in Cannes is much like couchsurfing in Cannes but with the added comfort and privacy of your very own room or entire apartment. So for the best way to experience the town you really should book your apartment in Cannes from 9flats right now.
Exploring from your holiday apartment in Cannes
The huge media circus that is the Cannes Film Festival arrives in May and is a great time for star spotting along La Croisette. At any time of year you can enjoy the couture shops and watch the world go by in the pavement cafes. For foodies, the covered market at Marche Forville is a must, while the Palais des Festivals on La Croisette gives a fantastic photo opportunity for any budding starlet. The port contains fantastic yachts to admire all year and La Croisette is like a fashion catwalk by the sea; another great spot for people watching. Beaches can be expensive and most are private, so try visiting the Îles de Lérins in the bay for a more laid back beach scene.
Choosing your accommodation in Cannes
Just a few kilometres west of Cannes town centre, a holiday apartment in Cannes la Bocca provides a quieter base from which to enjoy the attractions of Cannes proper. It has an attractive seafront, great views of the Golfe de la Napoule and a lively mix of bars and cafes. It is also right next to the train station. A holiday apartment in Le Cannet meanwhile, will find you around three kilometres inland from the centre of Cannes. Here you can explore a more sedate side of the area in this pretty and historic town, while still being just minutes from the centre of the action.
