Accommodation in Belgium: impressive buildings and parks await you
If the majestic forest of Soignes is on the agenda, you only need to drive 11 kilometres by car or bicycle if your holiday home in Belgium is in Brussels. One of the most important monuments in the country is the Villers-la-Ville monastery ruin, also in Walloon Brabant. A 90-metre-long abbey church and an impressive chapter house await you here in an extensive monastery complex that invites you to take a leisurely stroll. If you are interested in enchanting castles, you will certainly like La Hulpe Castle, about 18 kilometres southeast of Brussels. It was built around 1840 and lies in a picturesque park belonging to the Solvay domain. Another recommendable excursion destination is the Maas Valley, which stretches between Namur and Dinant along bizarre rocks and past picturesque villages. Here, too, castles, abbeys and magnificent complexes are a delight. But from your apartment in Belgium, you must also visit the water gardens of Château d’Annevoie, one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe.
