What we liked: Convenient location (5 min walk to Notting Hill Gate tube station and within Zone 1), Apartment in a Cul-de-sac so there is no traffic noise in the night, loads of restaurants and cafés around. There is a Waitrose Supermarket by a petrol station an other convenience stores nearby.
Things to improve: The bedroom is located above the building's laundry room and noise and heat filters through the floor, maybe adding a window or forced ventilation could help. The use of earplugs is recommended.
Cozy bed with fresh linen and fresh towels. Mattress is perfect.
There is a foldable kitchen unit that provides with everything you need to prepare your beakfast: Electric Kettle, Microwave oven, pots and pans and electric hob. There is a mini fridge)
The bedroom's height is below standard (approx 1.60 metres = 5 feet 2 inches) so beware when you wake up in the night to go to the toilet.Gustavo (Gus) reviewed Big Studio Flat in Notting Hill in Bayswater
Located in the heart of central London, Bayswater is one of the UK’s most cosmopolitan and diverse areas. Located close to Hyde Park, Bayswater is home to a large Arabic-speaking population around the Edgware Road area, and a massive Greek population has been attracted to the area by a Greek Orthodaox Cathedral that stands proudly in the area. This stunning mix of cultures and customs promises visitors an incredible experience when they visit Bayswater, but the best way to truly soak up this multicultural society is by living side-by-side with local people. Renting a holiday apartment in Bayswater through 9flats will not only allow you to enjoy a little luxury during your stay, it will give you the chance to see the local way of life at close-quarters.
Holiday Apartments in Bayswater Deliver Luxury and Privacy in Abundance
This area of London rose to prominence during the Victorian age, and to this day many of the streets are lined with Victorian stucco terrace houses. However, the area also boasts hundreds of Georgian terrace houses with their distinctive, pillared frontage. Visitors to this stunning area of London can take leisurely strolls through Hyde Park, or they can enjoy a little retail therapy at one of London’s first department stores – Whiteley’s. This area is particularly popular with American tourists, as it provides a stereotypical flavour of London-based architecture. This is Europe’s busiest cities, so if you’re looking for a little luxury whilst enjoying some privacy, renting a holiday apartment in London from 9flats could be a far more appropriate choice than staying in one of London’s crowded hotels.
Holiday Accommodation in Bayswater at the Heart of the Local Community
Bayswater has been the inspiration for many stories over the years, and none of them are as loved as the story of Peter Pan. The London residence where Sir James Barrie wrote the children’s classic can be found at 100, Leinster Terrace. A short walk away is The Swan, a public house that used to stand on the banks of the Westbourne River – which has now been buried. Another quick stroll will take you to the world-famous Queensway, where you can follow in Eliza Doolittle’s footsteps at Whiteley’s department store. The area’s strong historical roots combine with its cosmopolitan population to create a truly remarkable area of London, and the best way to soak up its unique atmosphere is by renting nearby holiday accommodation in Lisson Grove. You’ll be able to stay amongst local people in a local neighbourhood – something rarely offered by a hotel.
The phenomenon of couchsurfing in Bayswater has been made popular because it gives people the unique opportunity to stay in a real home at the heart of such a culturally vibrant area. However, although similar, booking your accommodation through 9flats gives you the added opportunity of renting an entire home – with all the trappings of modern life and luxury you can imagine. The 9flats website gives you the opportunity to explore the authentic cultures and customs of the world’s most famous cities, towns and regions.
