A very classy apartment with a stunning view. I really appreciated having a kitchen to cook my own food for a few days and everything was provided to cook and serve a good meal. The apartment was secure, clean and comfortable. A great option to staying in a hotel in Bangkok. Access to the trains is just across the river and a pleasant walk through the park takes you to the pier. Good restaurants are close by but other than the riverfront I thought that the surrounding neighborhood was not a great attraction for walking about.Gary reviewed The LIGHTHOUSE, Full Riverview Condo near BTS, 1 BR in Khlong Ton Sai
Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, and with an incredible 11 million residents, it is easily the country’s largest city. This huge metropolis is often associated with overcrowded streets, high-rise buildings and intoxicating smells, but there is far more to Bangkok than this common misconception. People from every corner of the globe live and work in this dynamic city, and its ancient religious buildings, canals and markets make it an urban center without comparison.
Unique Vacation Rentals in Bangkok
The majority of Bangkok’s landmarks and attractions are located in the Old City – on Rattanakosin Island. While the city is replete with stunning temples, the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun are easily the most popular with tourists. A trip to the Grand Palace also includes entry to the nearby Dusit Palace, which has a definite European look to it. Bangkok is also home to a number of palatial, private residences; the most notable of which is the sprawling complex of CIA operative Jim Thompson. If you’re more concerned with the city’s rich and fascinating history, there are several museums on Rattanakosin, including the National Museum, the King Prajadhipok Museum and the Museum of Siam. All three of these institutions have exhibits and artefacts that chart over 2,000 years of local history. Bangkok is a city filled with tourist attractions, so you will need comfort and seclusion in order to restore your depleted energy reserves at the end of every day. A vacation rental in Bangkok could be your private retreat from the chaos of the city.
Accommodation in Bangkok Could Provide You with a Better Understanding of Local Life
There is no doubting this great city’s vibrancy, culture and sense of history, but it can become oppressive at times. A trip to Lumphini Park is a great place in which to escape the chaos. Bangkok’s largest public park is a fantastic place to take a leisurely stroll, enjoy a cycle ride or simply watch the world go by. Santichaiprakarn Park is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, and it is often frequented by street performers and buskers. Bangkok’s proud traditions of music, cuisine and culture are celebrated in a series of street festivals that descend on the city’s streets every year. The Chinese New Year Festival and the Songkran Festival are among the most popular celebrations in Bangkok, and both feature parades, Thai culture and lots of color! There is something mystical about this great city, and renting a vacation apartment in Thung Wat Don instead of staying in hotel accommodation could provide you with a fascinating insight into how the local people live their lives.
