A wooden tent: for all situations. The wooden Kocoon is especially designed to be used like a tent but with greater comfort, insulation and protection from the elements. Bring all the normal camping gear but don’t worry about packing a tent.
Each Kocoon has plenty of headroom, a fabulous insulated padded interior and two comfortable single bunks for sleeping on. With a window for ventilation, solar powered LED lights and a 12v socket (car type) we are sure you will enjoy your stay.
The Kocoon accommodates the variable Scottish weather, keeping you warm and dry in even the heaviest of rains.
With the benefit of a lockable door, Kirkhill Kocoon’s offer a convenient alternative to the tent but retain all the ambience of a camping holiday, set in a secluded area in the grounds of Kirkhill Mansion.

The accomodation is surprisingly good, let down only by the lack of decent electrics. The led strip light is very poor and the 12v lighter sicket woukdnt charge our phones. To be fair the lighting issues ARE.mentioned before you book. Very atmospheric setting, though the facilities are very poor. The potential in this place is amazing but either its been allowed to get run down or its never been what it could be? Very comfy and warm and a good novelty. Thanks for the stay.

But it's horrible when it is raining especially when it's heavy rain because your Kocoon is located on the field it's like clay when it's raining it's really inconvenient to walk to the toilet and shower room
