When leaving our house, you will find yourself situated in Berlins top central location! "Hackescher Markt" is the most visited location of Berlin and a central venue for tourists from all over the world. It offers a great amount of multicultural restaurants, cafés, bars, clubs and cinemas... Right around the corner is the "Rosenthaler Straße" which includes the "Hackesche Höfe", a labyrinth of backyards with pubs, galleries and highly diverse shops. A few minutes away, you may find the "Alexanderplatz" with the "Fernsehturm", or the "Nikolaiviertel" directly at the "Spree", a river which flows through Berlin, and takes you on a sightseeing tour on a mini-cruiser throughout the city. Also near by is the "Berliner Dom". From there begins the glorious boulevard "unter den Linden" which leads to the "Brandenburger Tor". Passing the "Hotel Adlon", the "Schlossplatz", the "Lustgarden", the "Humboldt-Universität", diverse museums and many popular restaurants and shops, the "Friedrichstraße" crosses. "Friedrichstraße" is a great shopping area and a great possibility to explore Berlins night-life. Also "Checkpoint Charlie" with its well known, former border checkpoint to east-Berlin may be found nearby. At the end of the street "unter den Linden" comes, behind "Brandenburger Tor" the government district with the "Deutsche Reichstag", the "Bundeskanzleramt" and the "Deutsche Bundestag". You may also want to relax by taking a walk in the flanking "Tierpark".

Our hotel is located at "Hackescher Markt", a central venue for tourists which offers everything a heart desires. We have the famous american diner "Sixties" directly in our apartmenthouse. Sixties- fans from all over the world are getting together here to enjoy typical american food and drinks.

Wie man eine Wohnung in diesem Zustand vermieten kann ist mir schleierhaft. Hier muss dringend generalüberholt werden. Keine Mülleimer vorhanden, Glühbirnen fehlen in einigen Lampen, Betten quietschen, Fliesen fallen von der Wand, Handtuchhalter und Duschkopfhalter defekt, Müll unter den Betten und in den Küchenschränken...etc. Aus hygienischen Gründen haben wir in der Küche nicht gekocht. Womit auch? Geschirr und Besteck sind vorhanden, Küchenutensilien aber Mangelware. Die elektrischen Geräte wie z.B. Kühlschrank werden über 3-fach- Stecker versorgt. Das hier noch nichts passiert ist, gleicht einem Wunder. Gut das die Hauptstadt Berlin soviel zu bieten hat, das hat unseren Urlaub gerettet. Aber egal was wir hier schreiben, trotz vieler negativer Eintragungen schon im Vorfeld, scheint dieser Vermieter beratungsresistent zu sein, sonst hätte sich ja längst was ändern müssen.

Die Wohnung war einfach nicht geputzt, wir haben uns gefreut das wir keine Handtücher und Bettwäsche mitnehmen mussten aber das hätten wir vielleicht lieber getan. Die ganze Wohnung hat so extrem nach künstlichem Duft gerochen, ebenso die Bettwäsche, so dass man auf dem Kopfkissen ohne Hustenanfall gar nicht schlafen konnte. Abgefallene Fliesen im Bad. Nicht geputzte Tische und ein wirklich total defekter Balkonstuhl krönten den Gesamteindruck. Die Befürchtung wurde beim ersten Eindruck des widerlichen Treppenhauses somit noch übertroffen.
Die Lage war gut, Dachgeschoss 5.Stock natürlich nicht berauschend. Richtig eklig.

Die Schlüsselübergabe und alles hat tadellos geklappt, der Vermieter, oder seine Vertretung, war immer telefonisch zu erreichen. Nochmal ein großes Dankeschön. Wir hatten super Tage in Berlin.
