Pretty garden room in Wimbledon with self-catering breakfast

Pretty double bedroom with direct access to a south-facing private garden in a tranquil setting within my home.

Fast train connections of 17 minutes to central London makes this an ideal base for tourists visiting the capital.

In November 2012 I purchased a new double bed and mattress and king size duvet with anti-allergy bedding. There is a wildlife garden with seating for al fresco dining.

Situated on a quiet road in a very safe neighbourhood, my apartment is remarkably peaceful and serene. The location is a good place for a stop over enroute elsewhere or as a destination for leisure and business interests in London. It is a short walk to the Wimbledon Tennis courts. The room is also ideal for people wishing to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet in a tranquil setting with the convenience of quick access to the centre of the capital.

The accommodation:
Located in an undisturbed position of the flat, the oak floored double room is directly adjacent to the kitchen and shared bathroom. French double doors open from the bedroom into the enclosed woodland garden which provides south-east facing seating in a private and peaceful area. Equipped with fast Wifi and cable television this pretty room has received good reviews. I live in the apartment with my cats, Hansel and Gretal

Please feel free to use the kitchen to cook when you like and store your food in there.

Travel Connections:
We are a short walk to tube, bus and rail links both to the centre of London and also Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. I can also arrange parking at GBP5 per day.

I am a good choice for arrivals from LHR London Heathrow. I can arrange taxis to and from the airport for £40, a 40 minute journey. Gatwick is £46 by taxi. This may be preferable to a tube/underground trip.

Wimbledon train and underground station is only 0.4 miles, or a 8-10 minute walk, or £5 cab ride. There are also plenty of bus routes around and into London.
There is a taxi rank at Wimbledon rail/tube station.

Trains run frequently to Waterloo in the centre of London and journey times no more than 17 minutes. We are at the start of the District Underground Tube/Metro line which provides access to the West End and City and links to Heathrows. A tube journey is only 20 minutes to Earls Court and the West End.

I can arrange 24 hour parking at £5 per day.

The Neighbourhood:
Wimbledon is a prime real estate location with convenience stores and restaurants just around the corner from the apartment. It is a very safe neighbourhood with a community feel. Wimbledon Town is a short walk and is a bustling metropolitan centre with theatre, cinemas, gyms, clubs, and comprehensive shopping. Wimbledon Village is also a short walk up the hill and offers cafes, boutiques, restaurants and bars and provides an historical area of natural interest, Wimbledon Common. There is golf, horse riding, and tennis courts for public use. Richmond Park with deer and famous gardens is a short journey.

The Wimbledon All England Tennis Club is 1.2 miles, about 4 minutes by car, or a nice walk. There are plenty of dial-up taxi services.

Luggage may be left in advance of official check in time and also after departure for later collection.
