This spacious 75m2 loft comfortably sleeps up to four people and is ideally located at the entrance to the Via del Portico d’Ottavia in the district of Sant Angelo (Jewish quarter) near Campidoglio, Piazza Venezi and Campo de Fiori, in a fascinating building dating to the 1400s known as the ‘Casa dei Fabi’.
The district of Sant Angelo is the smallest in size however it has great historical importance; a fact that can be appreciated by a great number of different monuments in the area.
The Jewish quarter is quite possibly the most characteristic feature. Established in 1555 it is still currently home to an important Jewish community. The district is also famous for the Macello Theatre, a dark, imposing building that has an important presence in the surrounding area, as well as the Teatro di Balbo and the Circo Flaminio.
Other monuments include the Portico d’Ottavia, the only portico that has survived among the many arcades that formerly made up the structure of the Circo Flaminio. The Synagogue is another principal monument in the area, an imposing Travertine structure with a characteristic aluminum dome that really displays the tests of time.
An absolute must-see is the main square the Piazza Mattei that owes its name to the Palazzo di Giacomo Mattei, one of the oldest of the five buildings on the island with the same name.
The strategic location and good connections of this accommodation make travelling around the city comfortable and easy for visitors, to quickly reach all the most important tourist destinations. In the area surrounding the apartment there is an ample selection of cafeterias and well-known restaurants offering guests the chance to go out for a drink or dinner nearby or alternatively in one of the other city districts.
The loft covers two levels: downstairs area fitted with a modern open-plan kitchen with dishwasher, a large wardrobe to store belongings and a beautiful balcony overlooking an interior courtyard. There is also an elegant Chesterfield sofa, a double sofa bed and large table that comfortably seats four or can pull out to seat eight.
The upstairs area is tastefully decorated and includes a comfortable double bed and separate study area. There is also a bathroom that has a wonderful Jacuzzi and offers a great spot to relax after a long day’s sightseeing around the eternal city.
There is also high-velocity internet wifi connection throughout the loft and air conditioning available.
