Ambience in Prenzlauer Berg

Quiet, comfortable 2-room apartment in the center of the Eastern part of the city - in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg.

Around the apartment:
The location is superb - close-by you will find the Mauerpark - a park where you can observe all different kinds of interesting people - tanning, playing bouls, relaxing, barbecuing and looking at the stars at night. On sunday (during the summer months) you can visit the famous Mauerpark karaoke and the Mauerpark flea-market (all year round) which offers old furniture, little design objects from Berlin artists and a variety of culinary specialties.

The apartment is surrounded by really nice restaurants - revolving around Gleimstrasse and Kopenhagener Str. As a highlight i can definitely recommend the American burger and steak restautant "Bird" which is so popular that you should make a reservation in advance if you don't want to wait for a table until 11pm.

Food shopping can be done in the bakery next door, in my favorite winery in Kopenhagener Str. and of course in a number of supermarkets - both discount (Netto, Aldi) and premium (Kaisers, Edeka). A beverage store is also available.

Shopping for other than food is best be done in Schoenhauser Allee Arkaden which is also in walking distance.

Public transport:
The S- and U-Bahn station Schoenhauser Allee is 6 mins away by foot. From there you can be at Alexanderplatz in only 7 mins.
Hackesche Hoefe with its nice restaurants and lots of shopping opportunities with the big brands is best reached by Tram M1 in about 8 mins.
The U2 takes you to Potsdamer Platz and the WWII memorial next to Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag in about 15 mins.

The apartment:
The place has two rooms - a bedroom and a living room with balcony. It is very calm at night and the window in the bedroom is equipped with a light-proof double-curtain do ensure you get a good night's sleep (of course, bed linen and towels are included)!
In the morning you can enjoy a nice breakfast on the balcony with fresh coffee from the original Italian espresso maker. (If you are not sure how to use it there is also a coffee pad machine at your disposal.)

The living room is equipped with wifi for your computer and smart phones and of course also to connect your devices to the home entertainment system (TV, Blueray, Apple TV). You can connect both your iPhone (AirPlay) and Android phones (DLNA streaming) to the entertainment system to enjoy your own music, videos and photos. Also, you can charge your iPhone and Android phone with the charger on the night stand in the bedroom. MacBook charger is available, too!

The apartment has completely been remodeled in 2009, the kitchen has been done in 2011. All rooms are very well maintained and in excellent condition.

If you arrive by car you can purchase a parking permission in front of the building for €10 for the whole stay. Normal parking fees in Prenzlauer Berg are €15 per DAY. Just let me know at the time of booking.
