THE APARTMENT
Charming and cozy apartment in downtown Lisbon (Rossio/Baixa), located behind the National Theatre D. Maria II.
The apartment is situated at the 4th floor (no elevator) of a Pombaline style building (18th century) and has been renovated recently in a modern & vintage inspirational style.
It is a 110 m2 flat with two bedrooms, one room with a sofa bed, a living room, a children’s room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with tub and a very pleasant and sunny private balcony overlooking the National Theatre and São Jorge Castle.
AMENITIES:
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher and laundry machine, microwave) and the following services and equipment: Cable LCD TV, DVD / CD player, free wireless internet, radio, electric portable heater, portable fan, iron, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, vacuum cleaner and hair dryer.
There are also available some books in English, movie DVD’s, a Portuguese Cooking book (in English), Lisbon guides and maps (Lonely Planet, Le Cool and Time Out, in English) and the Timeout magazine (in English) with all the info about what’s happening in the city.
You can also enjoy some board games. Children will also have some games to play.

As the apartment is situated in central Lisbon - surrounded by culture venues,several cafes and restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies as well as near the main tourist attractions - you can walk to major Lisbon's neighborhoods:

Perfect location and perfect facilities especially when you are travelling with friends. In my point of view this location and apartment is hard to beat when you want to explore Lisbon and enjoy the atmosphere in Barro Alto. We totally enjoyed our stay in Hug & Rita's apartment and would not hesitate to come back again.

They told me that the apartment is spacious and well equipped, beautifully decorated and that the area around the house is just perfect for going shopping, having dinner, sightseeing... My parents would stay at Hugo´s and Rita´s apartment again and again :-)

Hug & Rita really know how to be hosts and and have made sure that we will have a great stay in Lisbon. From the Check-In to the Check-Out everything went perfect. We were able to contact Hugo & Rita at any time and they were always helpful (e.g.: restaurant or bar recommendations). Hugo & Rita certainly made it possible to feel like home and I would not doubt a second to recommend staying in their great apartment again - especially given their great sense and taste when it comes to interior design.

Hugo and Rita were the perfect hosts - before arriving in Lisbon, they send us a lot of information on how to get to the apartment, things to do and see in Lisbon,... When my parents were in the apartment, they were very helpful and always available when there was a question. Hugo and Rita are very friendly and welcoming and it was a pleasure to meet them!
