MER à 300m, studio, HYPER CENTRE

Though not exactly located in the city centre of Marseille, staying at this superb apartment in Le Corbusier's "Cité Radieuse" is a truly great experience - not just for architecture aficionados! The very spacious 2-storey apartment is tastefully furnished, equipped with everything you need and clean - with a great sea view.

El edificio más vetusto en el que me haya alojado jamás, puerta a la calle que no tenia como cerrarse, picaporte ausente, pintura totalmente descascarada; un hall de entrada en pésimo estado; una luz en el hall de veras imposible de hallar sin una antorcha o instrucciones previas (me valió fuerte caida de noche > estadía sin paseo por motivo de rodilla y espalda doloridas). Pero también un depto del Novecento único, por cierto antiguo pero asimismo decorado con gusto y originalidad, y sin lugar a duda una vista increible sobre la ciudad en su conjunto: Canebière, Iglesia des Réformés, Bonne Mère... Así que: si el edificio, la seguridad obvia, la pintura descascarada y lo vetusto no es lo que les importa y que gustan de pisos de madera con motivos de marquetería, chimeneas de marmol del Novecento, decoración original y ambientes bien amplios con vista única a dos pasos del subte, tranvía y buses, ése será su lugar. De lo contrario y importar las apariencias... bueno ya sabrán.

Our apartment was located next to the old harbour (vieux port), so it was quite easy to visit shopping malls, bars or night clubs there. We found everything we need in the Apartment. We also found a very helpful information sheet with phone numbers of Taxi drivers, information about the WLAN and lots of other information. However, a big map of Marseille was suspended on a wall in the kitchen - that's why it was easy for us to get to know a huge an interesting city very quickly.
