You will stay in a small (one person only) colorful room in a relaxed apartment within 10 minutes of Central Station Amsterdam.
You will share a living room, bathroom and kitchen with others. There is a big aquarium and lots of plants in the living room.
The apartment is not 5-star quality (not always super neat and tidy but we try our best), but colorful, friendly, hippie-ish, and cute, located in a beautiful 19th century house within short walking distance to cafes, restaurants, coffee-shop, supermarkets, and tram and bus stops.
We normally rent apartment out when we (a family with three children) are on holiday. The house is family-friendly, but any types of tourists (as long as you don't smoke inside!) are welcome! Our room-mate (musician) will open the door when we are not there.
When we are in, we will be glad to show tourists around so that they can enjoy not only family breakfasts but going-out scene in Amsterdam!
To reach the place, take a train to Central Station Amsterdam, walk from the back of Central Station (15 to 20 minutes) or take bus 48 (one stop in the direction Sloterdijk station)

Antje 4.0 stars 05/12/2013Generosity of attitude. Big table in central room, cosy bed where needed. Toilet, bathtub kitchen nitch all fine and clean. A good lamb allowing to read ad the central table would have been perfect. For me the bike was a wonderful detail.

Die Wohnung liegt super - in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel, zu Fuß ca. 15-20 min von Amsterdam Centraal entfernt.
Das liebevoll mit Malereien und Bildern gestalltete Zimmer war zwar klein, aber für eine Person ausreichend.
Super war, dass ein Fahrrad gestellt wurde, welches für einen Aufenthalt in Amsterdam nahezu unverzichtbar ist. :-) -
Mandy 3.0 stars 04/02/2013Für mich war es wieder ein Kulturschock, andere Länder andere Sitten. Mich empfing eine freundliche Gastgeberin und eine ziemlich kleine Kammer ohne wirkliches Tageslicht. Wer also sehr genügsam ist und keine Platzangst hat, der wird gute Einblicke in eine holländische Familie vorfinden in einem sehr einfachen Zimmer in der Nähe der City.
