Aaron 5.0 stars 05/18/2012It's about a 5 minute brisk walk to Taksim Square Metro, and 20 minutes by train/tram to practically everywhere else. We only used taxis to and from the airport. My wife, son & I enjoyed every moment of our stay. The staff were friendly, helpful & addressed all of our concerns quickly. It's perfect for anyone who doesn't care for flashy hotels. There's a big screen tv w/sound system & pc connection *bring movies*, high-speed Internet, & gray sectional (replaced sofa). It's not a 5-star hotel but comfortable. You get what you pay for, and we got just what we wanted. *Peaceful Nights*

My wife & I planned to travel to Istanbul for 24 days with our son and didn't want to spend lots of money for a place to sleep. We had reservations at another flat but were told 2 weeks before our trip that it was no longer available. 1 week later, we found Istanbul: Taksim One-Bedroom Apartmnt Galata owned by Ayse & Necdet. I sent 1 inquiry with little hope of a positive response. To my surprise, they responded within the hour telling us it was available. They were very polite and responded rapidly to all e-mails. We didn't meet them, but they seem like very nice, happy & honest people.

Nadia 4.0 stars 09/07/2011Ayse and Necdet were very kind hosts. They arranged for someone to meet us on our arrival day at a convenient location by the bus stop. The same person who met with us personally walked us to our apt and gave us some helpful advice on using the bus and train. A different employee who worked at another apt gave us great recommendations on local eateries and places to go.
