A cute room with enough space for two. The bathroom/toilet is a bit odd if you're used to Swiss standards. But it does its job absolutely fine. If you're taller than 170cm, always watch your head when entering the bathroom ;)Pete reviewed HARAJUKU - 4 minutes from station! in Sendagaya 3 Choume

The capital of Japan, the largest metropolitan area in the world and a vibrant mix of ancient tradition and ultra-modern technology, Tokyo is a truly unique city. When visiting Tokyo, prepare to have your breath taken away on more than one occasion. The vast nature of this mega-city has led to an eclectic mix of imposing skyscrapers and packed commuter trains sitting in perfect harmony with quiet, leafy suburbs, ancient temples and pensioners on bicycles. As to be expected in one of the largest cities on the planet, hotel prices can often be expensive here, despite the huge range available. Luckily, 9flats has a selection of holiday apartments in Tokyo which are an affordable solution to high-priced hotel rooms. Furthermore, the 9flats holiday accommodation in Tokyo is situated in various residential areas of the city, giving each visitor a close-up perspective on life here and a chance to get to know the locals. This works in a similar fashion to the activity of couchsurfing in Tokyo. However, by staying in a 9flats apartment, you are assured of a higher standard of comfort and a much greater degree of personal space.
Exciting Holiday Apartments in Tokyo
The city of Tokyo is probably the very definition of the phrase “something to suit everyone”. Although the skyline presents an image of modernity with its ever-changing vista composed of sleek skyscrapers and cutting-edge architecture, inside the city itself you can also find an aesthetically pleasing range of ancient shrines, temples and traditional wooden houses. Lending a stunning natural backdrop to this incredible amalgam of ancient and modern is the imposing sight of Mount Fuji. As Tokyo covers such a large area, it can often seem a little daunting at first but this feeling quickly dissipates when you realise how easy it is to get around here. The 9flats accommodation is spread throughout the city. Ikebukoro is a major commercial district and home to the second largest railway station in Tokyo, making the holiday apartments in Higashiikebukuro convenient for travel. Also ideal for getting around the city are the holiday apartments in Sendagi, close to the Tokyo Underground.
Affordable Holiday Accommodation in Tokyo
The transport network in Tokyo is highly efficient, making the act of getting around this huge city very easy and stress-free. In particular, the trains here are always punctual and, although seeming a little confusing at first, the train maps are logical and working out your route soon becomes second-nature. Many of the public information signs at train and underground stations are displayed in English for further convenience.
Discover Japan with 9flats
In addition to holiday apartments in Tokyo, 9flats has accommodation elsewhere on the main island of Honshu, such as in Osaka. As with Tokyo, the holiday apartments in Osaka are conveniently located in residential areas. If long-haul travel is not for you, check out the 9flats website for accommodation a little closer to home. For example, the range of holiday apartments in London is vast.
